CTUJoISD updates the Aims and Scope and Section Structure
CTU Journal of Innovation and Sustainable Development (CTUJoISD) (ISSN 2588-1418; e-ISSN 2815-6412) is pleased to announce an important update to its aims and scope and editorial section structure following its inclusion in Scopus, where the journal is currently ranked Q4 in the subject areas of Business, Management and Accounting; Energy; and Environmental Science.
This adjustment is part of the journal's ongoing development to strengthen its academic positioning, improve alignment between its published content and Scopus-indexed subject areas, and promote interdisciplinary research addressing emerging challenges in innovation and sustainable development.
Revised Aims and Scope
CTUJoISD is an interdisciplinary forum dedicated to advancing research on innovation and sustainable development globally. The journal publishes original research addressing emerging economic, technological, energy, and environmental challenges from interdisciplinary perspectives. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary research that fosters innovation, promotes sustainability, and addresses complex challenges related to sustainable development across the following three core subject areas:

Five Editorial Sections
To support the revised aims and scope and strengthen the journal’s interdisciplinary editorial structure, CTUJoISD has reorganized its subject areas into five editorial sections, comprising three core sections and two supporting sections.

Core sections: Business, Management & Accounting; Energy; and Environmental Science. These three core sections correspond to the subject areas in which CTUJoISD is currently indexed in Scopus.

Supporting sections: Life Sciences; and Technology and Engineering. These supporting sections complement the core sections and support the journal’s interdisciplinary focus on innovation, sustainability, and sustainable development.
Scope and Editorial Screening
The revised aims and scope and five-section structure will serve as the basis for the journal’s initial editorial assessment and section assignment of submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts that fall outside the revised aims and scope or are not sufficiently aligned with the journal’s subject areas may be declined at the initial editorial screening stage and will not proceed to peer review.
Authors are encouraged to carefully review the revised scope and select the section that best matches the subject, objectives, methodology, and contribution of their manuscripts.
To be considered for publication, a manuscript should fall within the journal's revised aims and scope; clearly address issues related to innovation, sustainability, or sustainable development; have a substantive connection to at least one of the journal's five editorial sections; and demonstrate an appropriate academic contribution to the relevant field.
Manuscripts that fall outside the revised aims and scope or do not have a sufficient connection to the journal's subject areas may be declined during the initial editorial screening and may not proceed to peer review.
The revised scope and section structure will apply to manuscripts handled under the journal's new editorial framework. CTUJoISD welcomes high-quality interdisciplinary research that contributes to innovation, sustainability, and sustainable development and looks forward to working with researchers worldwide in advancing these areas.
